He is a funny man as well as a good actor who seem to be golden for a while then, nothing.

The films that he starred in probably stopped making a lot of money. I think that in Hollywood the studios are only interested in producing movies that are guaranteed a big box office.

I agree. If anyone has seen Michael Keaton in White Noise, Batman and Batman Returns, and especially Beetlejuice, you know how talented he is. Its a shame that he has to take roles like Jack Frost and Herbie: Fully Loaded just to get by.
idk but he has three films coming out
# Toy Story 3 (2010) (pre-production) (rumored) …. Ken
# The Post Grad Survival Guide (2009) (post-production) …. Walter Malby
# Noah’s Ark: The New Beginning (2008) (post-production) (voice) …. Noah
so maybe he just hasn’t been offered any big hits
Sometimes when you don’t see anything from a big star for a while it’s because they are taking time out from films to do something else they are interested in, like live theatre or charity work or just catching up on time with their family. Some people don’t want their lives to feel like a treadmill, and if they have earned enough to be financially secure they do something else for a while. Sometimes they just don’t like the projects they have been offered or they want to take part in a non-commercial project, or get involved in the production side of things.
You might also want to keep an eye out for indie films or other projects that are not so much in the mainstream….
He’s going on 60, that’s most likely a big part of the problem. Hollywood doesn’t like *old*. And I don’t think he really wants to work all that much. He was offered a role in Lost which he gave up once the character wasn’t going to be killed off quickly as planned. He directed and acted in The Merry Gentleman last year. He was up for a SAG award for The Company last year, so he’s still got the stuff.
Keaton is kind of an odd duck for Hollywood. We have a producer friend in common, and at several parties, packed with celebrities, Keaton was in the kitchen chatting with the catering staff most of the time. We’ve sat at the same tables, and he is funny, very much a regular guy.
